THE END OF ANOTHER YEAR
Let me start this blog post by saying a Merry Christmas! As we come to the end of 2019, I wanted to reflect and tell you how I got on with achieving them! You can find the full details of my 2019 resolutions here.
Get into a fitness routine - As I am sat here typing this post Christmas, I don't exactly feel in a routine. However when I am back in Norwich and at work, I have found that I have found a good way for me to fit in fitness into my week. I do this by looking at my calendar on a Sunday night and examining which evenings I am busy or what I have on at the weekend, then deciding from there which days I go to the gym. Due to initial health concerns part way through the year, I was told to cut my exercise down which was personally a shock for me (as it's something I am so used to! but others may be ecstatic about a possibility like this!). I tried doing yoga in the mornings but it didn't give me the same buzz that a gym work out did. However, I am now back in my usual routine of fitness at the gym and will maintain this in 2020.
Fill your cupboards with wholefoods - This is something I am maintaining to do. I love having a full cupboard and knowing that I always have delicious and nutritious meals I can make or snacks I can have just by what I have in the cupboards. It also means I find I am less likely to deprive myself of any foods because I feel like I am eating balanced meals the majority of the time, and it means I can enjoy more the times I go out to eat or when I spend time with others.
Make 1 change to live more sustainably - My goal for 2019 was to use my "keep cup" whenever having a coffee out and to attempt to always carry it in my bag. I have felt good about keeping this resolution in 2019 and love how it is becoming so normal to see everyone with a reusable coffee cup!
Utilise your mornings - My mornings are still my favourite time of the day! Despite starting work at 08:30 and living a 10 minute walk away from work, I always get up around 06:00-06:30 to start my day. I normally use this time to go to the gym, read the Bible and pray and then maybe get a few jobs done before work!
Lots of Love
